- 36 months from the production date at +2 to +25 °C. The meal is hermetically sealed in a retort pouch and sterilized in an autoclave, so no preservatives are needed.
- Do I need a fridge?
- No. Before the pouch is opened the meal keeps at room temperature — at home, in a car, in a backpack or in a warehouse.
- How do I heat it up?
- Put the pouch in boiling water for 10–15 minutes, or empty it into a pan. IRP ration sets include a flameless heater, so you need neither water nor fire.
- Does it contain preservatives?
- No. The long shelf life comes from retort sterilization, not from additives. The ingredients are meat, grains, vegetables and spices.
